Highway Insurance holding Plc, formally Ockham Holding Plc was created in 1995 from the Sturge Group. Market research led management to the decision to build a specialist motor Insurance business, with ancillary businesses, based on relationships with insurance brokers and other intermediaries. Over the last few years the group has been rationalised, the history ring fenced and the business focused, with any non-core assets sold.
