Even cheaper female car insurance

We pride ourselves on providing great deals for cheap female car insurance, but there are many factors that determine your premium

Date Of Birth

Younger female drivers will pay more for their insurance than older drivers. If possible, try and gain some experience on the road in your parents car before purchasing your own. Also, we advise young female drivers not to be tempted to stay covered under their parents policy for too long as the sooner you can build up your own No Claims Bonus, the better.

Start Date Of Cover

Female drivers should make sure they know when they require their insurance cover to commence as rates vary monthly with most insurers and are generally expected to rise slowly.

Your Postcode

Your postcode (and subsequently the area you live in) gives an indication of crime rate, traffic density etc. in the area that the vehcile will be kept. If possible, female drivers should keep their vehicles or at least on a driveway to help reduce their premium.

Security

Keeping your car as secure as possible helps reduce your premium further. Steering wheel locks and alarms may not make a noticeable difference, but a thatcham approved immobiliser can help lower your premium considerably. Ensure it is fitted by an approved mechanic and make sure you keep a copy of the installation certificate.

Previous Claims

The more claims a female driver makes, the higher rish she appears to be and the premium will be higher. Avoid making claims where possible, as this will affect your No Claims Bonus.

Excess

Your excess is the amount you will pay when making a claim. For example, with an excess of £100 and a claim of £500, you would pay the first £100 and your insurer would cover the remaining £400. Female Drivers who want to lower their premium can choose to have a higher excess.
